Burke Urban worked with professionals in the planning industry including Simon Tonkin of Masterplan and independent planning consultant Geof Bone, the Black Point community, the Government and the District Council of Yorke Peninsula to devise a scheme that accommodates large allotments with frontages wide enough to make the most of the opportunity for views over Gulf of St Vincent. The allotments are also deep enough to build the necessary boat shed that most Black Point shack owners require as part of their active coastal lifestyles.
The Beachcomber estate proposes to incorporate a network of boardwalks that provide the allotments with easy access to the secluded and unspoiled beach and reef in front of them.
